Death of Book
Death of a Book Project Photos
This is a project prompted by the discovery of a book laying in the yard of an abandoned house. We followed the deterioration of the book over the period of one year. Below are four of those photos.
Banned Books That Shaped America
The Library of Congress created an exhibit, "Books that Shaped America," that explores books that "have had a profound effect on American life." At the link is a list of books from that exhibit that have been banned/challenged. See the books at the Banned Books Book Week website
Fahrenheit 451

Ray Bradbury’s internationally acclaimed novel Fahrenheit 451 is a masterwork of twentieth-century literature set in a bleak, dystopian future.
“Monday burn Millay, Wednesday Whitman, Friday Faulkner, burn ëem to ashes, then burn the ashes. That’s our official slogan.”
