Recently we worked with a very talented client, Magela Herrera. Magela is a flutist, singer, and songwriter from Cuba. We met Magela through our work and friendship with the Entreflamenco dance company that she performs with here in Santa Fe. Magela approached us wanting to redesign her website and create a new, updated logo for herself. She had been managing her own website but as she started producing more music and performing more often, she realized that she needed a little help. Her goal for the website was to showcase her newly released album, and to promote her upcoming shows and music. With these things in mind, we designed a website that plays with the contrast between bright, rich colors and dark backgrounds. This color-blocked design makes elements like photos and text stand out, while keeping a playful feeling to the website. We also focused on incorporating music players such as Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud on the site so that visitors could listen to her music directly from her home page. We felt that other small elements like an updated list of her upcoming events and performances, and a section that highlights all her recent press and media exposure would help promote her music as well. Along with the website, Magela wanted us to create a logo that incorporated her signature and musical elements, like her flute. We brought in the musical elements by replacing the ‘G’ in her name with a treble clef and underlined her name with an abstract flute. We made sure that the logo incorporated a color palette that Magela had selected to represent her vibrancy and style. We created several versions to make sure that the logo would flow and be seen on various backgrounds, whether dark, busy, or light. We had a lot of fun working on this project! Thank you, Magela, for trusting us in this process! CLIENT FEEDBACK

![]() Recently, our client and author Shirley Melis won not one, but two of Dan Poynter’s 2019 Global Ebook Awards for her memoir Banged Up Heart: Dancing with Love and Loss. Shirley won gold in the “Best Ebook Trailer” category and silver in the “Autobiography/Memoirs” category. Back in 2017 we collaborated with Shirley to film and produce her book trailer and promote her memoir. Since the book was released, Shirley has been on two blog tours and has received tons of great reviews from her readers. These two awards are huge milestones for Shirley and we are extremely proud to call her our client. You can watch her award winning book trailer here or below. Our client Vista Living Care is a senior living community that consists of three homes in New Mexico, two in Santa Fe and one in Las Cruces. Vista Living Care (VLC) is one of the only facilities that specializes in homes that cater to people who have dementia and Alzheimer’s. We do a wide range of marketing and promotional work with VLC. Currently we are running and maintaining their social media accounts, which include Facebook, Twitter, and most recently an Instagram account. We post on social media 2-3 times a week with content that includes photos of their elders doing fun activities like arts and crafts or dancing. Along with this, we designed and created their website which we update regularly and where we post bi-weekly blogs. To make sure our content is new and updated, we visit the two homes in Santa Fe often and send a photographer to the Las Cruces location to take professional photos of the facilities, staff, and of the elders in their home environment. Every couple of months we send out a newsletter that includes upcoming events, recent blog posts, photos, and much more. Along with this, we help them design a range of marketing materials like flyers or brochures.
